Of brittle souls

I am listening to Lord Huron’s The Ghost on the Shore every other day and it makes me want to weep. Some songs are like that, gently nudging on our brittle souls.

As the summer heat breathes down on my neck, I drown myself with more readings than I could handle, purge myself on journals so when things crash down there’s little left in me to burn, make a list of films to watch (note: dark and melancholic ones), and listen to weepy songs that turn my skin inside out so I could feel renewed every single time.
